Advertising Campaign can drive your shopping in Rome

The clients of www.grandtourshopping.com often ask me to discover brands not particularly famous in America. Especially ladies coming from the Midwest of the USA. One example of this particular wishing of shopping is Patrizia Pepe. Why ? Because the prices are reasonable and the clothes are well tailored. In the Eternal City there are three stores, my favourite is in via Frattina and it is spread on two floors. Patrizia Pepe is a florentine company with shops all over the world.

The Patrizia Pepe Spring Summer 2020 advertising campaign is particulary inspiring for the new shopping season. It presents an urban and intimate narration of a sensual dichotomy between urban life and personal fashion.

Iconic black and white imagery paired with colored fashion looks merge beautifully into a contemporary fashion visual tale with also telling two different stories. The metropolitan girl versus the ultimately chic lady. A series of mini video film will be featured on the official Patrizia Pepe digital media channels identifying the best look on any occasion. The Patrizia Pepe wardrobe is easy and chic at the same time.

The new campaign will go live in January in all major italian and internazional magazines and digital media. The creative director is Giovanni Bianco, the photographer is Dario Catellani, the model is Marta Aguilar and the styling is made by Patti Wilson.

Sales in Rome what you need to know

In these days, just after Christmas, the shopping streets of Rome are packed. Tourists and roman are going up and down via Condotti, via del Corso, via Frattina. You have different kind of shopping addicts. The more sustainable ones are the one who did not like their presents and want to change them. Generally in Italy you need to have the receipt but in some little shops it doesn’t matter as long as you have the package of the store. Then there are the shopping addicts who are already looking for discounts. Some stores in Rome are already doing some pre-sales and we saw them yesterday in via Bocca di Leone in Zadig & Voltaire, a gorgeous french brand. We particularly love an orange eco-fur discounted from 375 euros up to around 300.

Another important thing you need to know is that in Rome the official sales start the 4th of January. So try to book asap the www.grandtourshopping.com in order to get the best bargains possible with us. The end of the year is a moment of deep thinking. Apparently Christmas shopping was not so good for fashion apparels. This is due to different factors. First of all the Black Friday when people took advantage of better prices, on line and off line. The Black Friday,by the way, lasts an entire weekend in November.

Secondly the fact that the beginning of the sales is so early, 4th of January, made people wait few days. On Tv they show today a report on Rai TG2 explaining that some store managers are focusing on the quality of their items and try to ignore Black Friday and pre-sales. We will see which approach is the right one. For the moment we can give you an advise. Try to think about what you really need. It is better to buy one nice, a good quality italian shoes or boots for example instead of cheep ones that will ruin your feet and loose the colour. And what about a coat, a bag that can last for a long time? Buy less and buy better is the new mantra. Enjoy your new roman sales season. For all this reasons, again,we invite you to book a shopping sales tour in Rome as soon as possible with www.grandtourshopping.com.

Finding the red Christmas dress

  1. Most of my clients from www.grandtourshopping.com are looking for the best New Year’s Eve dress BUT first of all you should think about Christmas. It is almost impossible to avoid Christmas cocktails, receptions, dinners and parties. Shopping during this time of the year as his advantages and problems. It is always better to go shopping in the morning because there is less people, starting at 10 am, maximum 10.30am.

In Via del Corso I saw the boutique of Intimissimi completely invaded by red lingerie. Everyone knows that wearing red the last day of the year brings you good luck. Other boutiques proposes the purple such as Yamamay and Calzedonia. On Tv I saw Sarah Jessica Parker showing a gorgeous bra with push up and dentelles.

Talking about pret à porter , you can see below this great dress signed by the italian brand Genny. Red is the new black. This one has a deep decolleté and a theatrical cape. Genny always shows in Milano during Fashion week. The creative Director is Sara Cavazza Facchini. The Facchini family owned Genny.

The brand was found in Ancona in 1961 by Arnaldo Girombelli. The name was due to his eldest daughter. In the second half of the 60’s they started to have a large success with a line of pleated oblique skirts. Important designers such as Gianni Versace and Christian Lacroix used to work for the company. In 2001 Prada acquired the label and Genny stopped his production in 2004.

In 2011 the label was acquired by the Facchinni Group which decided to relaunch the brand. At that time the designer appointed was Gabriele Colangelo. Afterwards it was Sara Cavazza Facchini as we said before. Her work is not always on line with our taste but this red dress is contemporary and extremely fluid enhancing the silhouette.

The Genny Boutique in Rome is in via Bocca di Leone 84. You should have a look to get over the season’s wardrobe and parties. As Lucy from Schultz says “ Few more days of Merry Christmas, than a couple of sentences like What are you doing for New Year’s eve ? Finally two days of Happy New Year and then we are out of it!. Just Resist!”.
