Shopping moments in Rome with the new Miu Miu spring-summer collection

Very soon, the new spring -summer collections will arrive in Rome. It is the beginning of an exciting shopping season. Near the Spanish Steps, in via del Babuino, you can go to Miu Miu. The fun and glamourous line designed by Miuccia Prada is avant-garde in a lot of ways. In other words, if you look at Miu Miu collection, you will see where italian fashion is going.

A lot of wearable mid lenghts skirts and dresses. Also faux pithon pencil skirts as you can see in the pictures below. Miuccia also showed some gray blazers and skirt suits in matching leather. She wants to talk to women that don’t like “En travesti”. They are faithfull to her style made of simplicity, no logo, non showy clothes. By the way She has always been famous for her conceptual fashion.

Before you will see this new collection, I want to remind you that, the 5th of January, sales will start in Rome. Some pre-sales had already started. In Rinascente you can already book your items and buy them after that date. In the mean time book on line www.grandtourshopping.com we are available 5, 6, 7 of January, the best days for shopping sales in Rome.

Step by step shopping in Piazza di Spagna

One of the most gorgeous square in Rome. An ideal place for shopping is Piazza di Spagna. It owes its name to the Palazzo di Spagna, seat of the Embassy of Spain among the Holy See. Nearby is the famous Column dedicated to the Immaculate Conception blessed to the Virgin Mary. Every December 8th the Pope comes here to pray.

I often go there because of the variety of boutiques you can find there. From the small and traditional one, such as Sermoneta for gloves to the big boutique of Valentino, inaugurated few years ago with an amazing fashion show. It is also possible to get a tea and fantastic cakes in Babington’s, one of the last authentic tea rooms in the Eternal city.

In piazza di Spagna you find also Moncler, Longchamp, Furla and Nespresso if you need your coffee capsules. Even the pharmacy is nice. In front of the Barcaccia fountain you can find Dior on the corner with via Condotti.

Don’t miss the chance to go with us on www.grandtourshopping.com for a fantastic Christmas and New Year’s Eve moment. We are free this week , the 27th and 28th of December. We are waiting for you

Choosing the best shops in via del Corso

It is not so easy to decide where to shop in Rome in via del Corso. Personally I like the central part of the avenue. For security reasons, the street is pedestrian and often blocked with tanks from Piazza Venezia towards via del Corso.

As said the best shops, in my opinion are in the middle. For lingerie you can find Calzedonia, Golden Point, very close one to another. Further down, if you could not find your underwear you can try in Yamamay, Intimissimi and Tezenis.

For fashion in via del Corso you have two big stores of Zara and H&M. A smaller one but with a good selection is Mango. If you want the italian brands you can try for example Luisa Spagnoli. It has a complete restyle and is performing quite well, also because Kate Middleton is wearing some models from time to time. In via del Corso there are other italian fashion brands that I like and that are not too expensive such as Liu Jo. For shoes I love Carmen with fantastic ankle boots.

But I don’t want to reveal all my secrets addresses. You should book as soon as possible a shopping tour with us. Hurry up, Christmas is coming!
