One of the best shopping experience in Rome is to go to the Bottega Veneta boutique in piazza San Lorenzo in Lucina. The brand is now proposing a new handbag called Rialto for Fall-Winter 2014. This alluring new style, while offered in an array of meticulously handcrafted versions that are rich in color, material and technique. Tomas Maier, the creative director, has been studying all the details : broad piping outlining its shape and padded border along its flap. We love the Brunito finished chain linked to a leather strap. The horizontal closure that runs centrally across the front panel, recalling the Rialto bridge in Venice.
