Shopping in Rome suggestions from Blumarine

In Rome, offices and stores organizes a bunch of parties before Christmas. They can be terrible. Exhausting, tiring, people have nothing to say to each others. Singles hate them more than married people. The only fun thing about this moment of the year is to get dressed. To choose the right outfit. We love to go in the center of Rome to look for the perfect dress, shirt or skirt for us and for clients of grandtourshopping.com. Animalier for example, such as Blumarine. The shop in Rome is located in via Borgognona 31, one of the most elegant streets. I love this area because it is never too crowded. It is just off Via del Corso but there is an enormous difference. We can show it to you in the next weeks.

Watching carefully at the collection of Blumarine we notice that sometimes an eye-catching detail it’s enough to add a proper party touch to clothes and accessories. For this season the bows are on duty, declined into the Fall winter collection 2019. Everything is styled in an elegant way. Precious ribbons tie on the sheer satin blouses’ necks, become sash on coats and scenographic long dresses, enrich skinny jeans and embracing sweater dresses as shimmering embroideries. They are not lacking either in shoes with straps and toes ennobled by bon ton frills.

It is a good occasion to visit the store in Rome. Don’t miss it. I like very much Anna Molinari, the designer and owner of the brand. I often go to see her show in Milano, during the Fashion Week. She is one of the most gentle person in Fashion. The spring summer collection is very romantic too. We will show it to you soon.

In Rome a documentary about Laura Biagiotti

I always followed Laura Biagiotti. Since my beginning in the fashion industry. Recently the company opened a gorgeous store in via Belsiana 57. Last week I bumped it to Lavinia, her daughter. She invited me to see a documentary about Laura. It will take place at Festa del Cinema di Roma, today at 5.30 pm.

Laura Biagiotti ( 1943-2017) has been an icon of Italian Fashion. She made a great work on wool, white dress wool, vanilla colours. The idea was to represent a woman elegant and easy at the same time. With her husband Gianni Cigna She was the first italian designer to organize a fashion show in Cina in 1988 and in Russia in 1995. Images that are unforgettable for the italian history, not only for the fashion world.

The documentary will be shown also in the late evening on Rai 3 the 31st of October. The documentary is directed by Maria Lilli and the actress is Serena Rossi. It is a journey in the Biagiotti world and in her atelier. It is also a way to know better her private and professional life. In the movie some interviews are done to Romina Power, Beppe Modenese, Santo Versace, Carla Fracci among others.

In the picture below, Lavinia Biagiotti and on the backside the portrait of her mother Laura. In Rome a lot of people miss her in a city where there are not a lot of fashion personalities. Eventhough the company always shows in Milano, Laura was very much into the city of Rome. She was also a mecenate that nobody forgets.
